Gianni Moramarco born in Turin, is an all-round creative artist whose artistic biography develops over three decades with an eclectic and constant path, full of creative successes ranging from interior architecture to fashion design and visual arts. . In recent years, Moramarco has successfully developed the exhibition with presence in numerous European galleries and high-level artistic events. His presence has recently been recorded at the 7th International Art Biennale of Ferrara 2014. His works appear in public and private collections.

Born in Turin, he divides his activity between architecture and artistic production.

The inspiration of Gianni Moramarco seems to have a "pop" vein that is kept far from conceptual aridity. Sometimes surreal, sometimes very concrete, his paintings are populated by clear references to his city of origin whose symbolic places play with fiery towers and softened but deformed forms of fetishistically valkyries.

Moramarco moves within a pictorial mechanism made of irony, candor, craftsmanship, canceling the rules and limits of the frame of the work, invading the boundaries of the painting, driven by an irrepressible impulse to dispel reality by reinterpreting it with the canon of his artistic language.

His creations are the expression of the exuberance of the artist who works by projecting his idiosyncrasies on the city, breaking it down into its basic components to make it re-emerge filtered and adulterated by unpredictable geometries.

The "new world" of Moramarco, imposes itself through the color that keeps separate but at the same time uniforms the pieces of his puzzle; We are transported to an archipelago of irreconcilable islands with which a fragmented, uncertain, crisis-like reality is described; the cuts are like the cracks that divide the clods of an arid soil to which only the alienating intervention of color can give life back.

In more recent times the subjects of the works of Gianni Moramarco move on oneiric Kabbalistic themes, playing with the numbers and folds of his pictorial decompositions.

This new series of paintings marks a further step towards an abstract and symbolic representation of the things in which the new astral geographies mark imaginary and ethereal trajectories that interfere with the random lattice of the cuts as if they were resting on a wrinkled sheet.

We witness an inversion of roles between the cuts and the subject that if before could appear as a stratagem to make an escape from the concrete present now hypostatize it through the materiality of the work is the crafted imprint of the artist.
